Avantis Is Now Veranta: The Next Chapter in Global Onchain Markets
Avantis is now Veranta. The new identity reflects a broader ambition: more global markets, more ways to trade them, and infrastructure built for both traders and agents.

Veranta is now live in private beta.
This is the largest product upgrade since mainnet. Rather than treating liquidity, asset access and trading tools as separate problems, V2 rebuilds the experience around all three.
The goal is straightforward: give traders access to more global markets, with stronger execution and the controls they expect from a serious trading venue, while keeping the simplicity and onchain settlement that defined the first version of the protocol.
V2 introduces a new hybrid RFQ and AMM architecture designed to make liquidity more predictable across a broad asset universe. The private beta starts with more than $100 million in open-interest capacity across 100+ assets, with a roadmap to scale beyond $500 million as the rollout progresses.
The same architecture also gives Veranta more flexibility to expand the number of real-world assets available onchain. The roadmap targets 500+ RWA markets, including equities, FX, metals, commodities and longer-tail markets that have historically been difficult to trade through DeFi.
RWA markets are a major focus for V2. Equities can trade 24/5, opening access around pre-market, after-hours and overnight sessions rather than forcing every view into traditional exchange hours.
During the growth phase, Veranta is also offering zero maker and taker commissions across listed RWA markets. The objective is to pair lower explicit trading costs with tighter spreads and more stable funding, particularly in markets such as FX and metals where execution quality matters most at larger size.
Behind the scenes, Veranta works with market makers and external liquidity venues to price RWA flow. This structure is designed to reduce the funding distortions that can appear when an onchain order book becomes disconnected from the underlying market.
V2 also evolves Veranta’s original Zero-Fee Perps product into Upside Perps.
The core idea remains the same: traders do not pay an upfront trading fee and the protocol only participates when a position is profitable. V2 expands that model across a wider leverage range, from lower-leverage positions to high-leverage short-term trades.
At private beta launch, Upside Perps are available for BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP and HYPE, with leverage ranging from 1x up to 250x depending on the market. Additional order types, including limit and TWAP functionality for Upside pairs, are part of the rollout.
V2 adds a set of trading tools designed for more active position management:
These features are intended to make Veranta more useful for advanced traders without turning the interface into something that only advanced users can navigate.
Anyone who had traded on Veranta before the V2 private beta was automatically included in the initial access group. New users can enter through invite codes shared during the closed beta period.
The purpose of the private beta is to test the new system under real trading conditions, identify bugs and collect feedback before general access. Capacity, market coverage and features will continue to expand throughout the rollout.
V2 is the foundation for the next phase of Veranta. The immediate focus is scaling RWA liquidity, expanding the market universe and improving execution. From there, the roadmap extends into more ways to trade, stronger infrastructure for builders and agents, and continued utility for $AVNT across the protocol.
Private beta is the first step. The broader goal is a trading venue where market access is not defined by legacy hours, fragmented liquidity or the limitations of a single asset class.
